王 文,博士生导师,中德马普进化基因组学青年科学家研究组组长。

1989年毕业于武汉大学生物系, 获学士学位。1992年在已故动物遗传学家施立明院士指导下在中国科学院昆明动物研究所获得硕士学位。1995年10月-1996年6月在美国哥伦比亚大学作访问学者。1996年在施立明和吴鹤龄教授指导下在昆明动物研究所获得博士学位。1997年8月至2002年7月美国芝加哥大学生态与进化学系博士后暨研究助理。

2004年获得国家杰出青年基金。2004年"新世纪百千万人才工程国家级首批入选者"。2005年获得国家基金委重点项目资助。2007年和2012年作为首席科学家两次获得了"973"项目的支持。2008年获得"中国科学院百人计划"、"中国科学院王宽诚西部学者突出贡献奖"和"谈家桢生命科学创新奖"。作为第一完成人于2012年和2010年分别获得国家自然科学奖二等奖和云南省自然科学一等奖。长期来一直致力于自然选择和人工选择下新遗传结构(genetic novelties)及其功能起源进化机制的研究。目前已经分别在Science、Nature Genetics、Nature Review Genetics、Nature Biotechnology、Nature、PNAS、Genome Research、Plant Cell、PLoS Genetics、Trends inGenetics、Genome Biology、Molecular Biology and Evolution、Genetics等重要学术杂志上发表多篇论文。
